Anne Barclay is a Canadian artist who gathers sea glass, pottery, unique pieces and oddly shaped pebbles to create one of a kind art. You can find her work at multiple shows across Southern Ontario each year, as well as in locally run artisan stores in the area.

My journey started with a piece of sea glass found on a beach with my daughter while on our first family vacation. Wanting it as a keepsake for my daughter, I turned it into a bird by adding two stick legs and a beak. Seeing its whimsical transformation inspired me to head to our local beach to comb for beach glass. I collect most of my materials from Lake Ontario (pebbles, beach glass, driftwood, beach pottery), but also from many places around the world. My goal is simplicity, and using the characteristics of each found object to tell its unique story.

If you see something I have created and would love your own version, I will try my best to recreate that design as close as possible. Every pebble and piece of sea glass is unique, so no two pieces of art will look alike. If you you have a new idea for a design that you have yet to see me create, please don’t hestitate to ask as I would love to make your vision come to life!
Before the order is completed, I will send pictures of the design where you can make any last minute changes/requests. Once you have approved the design, full payment is required. Once payment is received, your order will be completed and arrangements will be made for pick up or delivery. Pick up or delivery is available in the Hamilton/Burlington area. Shipping is available.
